Domaine Sylvain Langoureau

Much like University Wines, Domaine Sylvain Langoureau is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. Sylvain and Nathalie took the helm of the Domaine in 1989 as the fifth generation of family winemakers. They recently welcomed their son, Bastien, to the team.

With fields located in Saint Aubin, Chassagne and Puligny, the family strives to communicate the terroir of each locale through their wines with as little interference as possible. This unabashed embrace of their terroir led them to adopt a fully organic approach and to prune their vines to produce low-yield, high-quality grapes. Natural yeasts are utilized in the fermentation process and new oak is used sparingly.

It comes as no surprise that they produce some of the best terroir focused lively whites from their St Aubin sites and excellent Aligoté from the Chassagne and Puligny vineyards.
