Colutta is a small but mighty estate in the heart of Friuli’s Colli Orientali, a region celebrated for its crisp, aromatic white wines. The family-run winery is committed to sustainable farming, balancing their vineyards with surrounding orchards, beekeeping, and natural green spaces to maintain biodiversity.
Friuli’s famous ponca soil—a mix of sandstone and marl—is the backbone of Colutta’s wines. This unique soil type allows for excellent water retention while encouraging deep root systems, resulting in wines that are both mineral-driven and expressive.

Colutta specializes in white varieties like Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Sauvignon Blanc, producing wines with freshness, precision, and vibrant aromatics. Their reds, including Schioppettino and Refosco, are lesser-known but showcase the hidden gems of Friuli’s terroir.
