Domaine Buisson Battault, located in the renowned village of Meursault in Burgundy, is a family-owned estate with a long history of producing some of the region’s most elegant white wines. The domaine was established in the early 20th century, and over the years, it has been lovingly passed down through generations of the Buisson family. Today, it is run by François Buisson, who carries on the family tradition with the same passion and dedication as his forebears.

The vineyards of Domaine Buisson Battault are spread across some of the most prestigious terroirs in Meursault, where the limestone-rich soils and favorable climate create the ideal conditions for cultivating Chardonnay. The estate’s vines, many of which are over 50 years old, are meticulously tended to by hand, ensuring each grape reaches its full potential. This careful vineyard management, combined with the family’s deep knowledge of the land, results in wines which are both expressive and refined, capturing the essence of Meursault’s unique terroir.

François Buisson believes in minimal intervention, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine through. The wines are fermented using indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak barrels, with a careful balance of new and old wood to enhance the complexity without overpowering the delicate flavors. This approach produces wines which are beautifully balanced, with a distinctive minerality and a rich, creamy texture Meursault is famous for.
