Domaine Parent — situated in the commune of Pommard in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune — is a historic, family‐run estate whose roots date back to the 17th century and whose official founding is recorded as 1803. Today it is headed by sisters Anne Parent (in charge of viticulture & winemaking) and Catherine FagesParent (commercial side), representing the 12th generation of the family.
The domaine is best known for its red Burgundies, and it has embraced organic certification since the 2013 vintage and applies biodynamic practices in the vineyard. Their viticulture emphasizes hand-harvested grapes, strict sorting (including vibrating and stationary tables in the cellar), native yeast fermentations, and ageing in French oak with new‐oak percentages varying by site and vintage. Domaine Parent’s compact yet exceptional holdings allow a precise expression of terroir. Their entry-level Bourgogne and village wines consistently overdeliver, offering impressive structure, terroir transparency, and the capacity to age gracefully.
