Paitin, located in the picturesque hills of Neive in Piedmont, boasts a winemaking heritage which dates back to 1796. It was then that Benedetto Elia purchased the estate, including the farmhouse, wine cellar, and surrounding vineyards. The family’s dedication to viticulture has been unwavering, with each generation contributing to the estate’s growth and reputation.

In 1893, Paitin produced its first Barbaresco from the Sorì Paitin vineyard, marking a significant milestone in the winery’s history. By 1898, they began exporting their wines, sharing the unique expressions of their terroir with the world. Despite the challenges posed by two World Wars, the family resumed winemaking in 1965, constructing a new winery and continuing their commitment to quality.

Today, the Pasquero-Elia family, now in its eighth generation, manages 17 hectares of vineyards, focusing on Nebbiolo and Barbera grapes. Their approach combines traditional methods with sustainable practices, ensuring each wine reflects the character of the Serraboella cru. The estate’s Barbaresco wines are renowned for their elegance, structure, and aging potential.
